Japanese Professor, Kiyoshi Haida visits UCC

Kingston, Jamaica - Staff and leadership of the University College of the Caribbean (UCC) yesterday, February 6, welcomed Professor Kiyoshi Haida to its Worthington Campus in Kingston.

Invited by UCC International, headed by Ms. Jackie Thelwell, Snr. Director, Online Programs and Internationalization, Professor Haida on his first day in Jamaica met with staff and senior officials of UCC. Other activities of the day included a tour of UCC's Worthington Campus, a tour of Kingston's prominent tourist attractions and a Courtesy Call on Japanese Ambassador to Jamaica, His Excellency, Masanori Nakano.

Professor Kiyoshi Haida is currently the Director of the Global Education Center at the Shitennoji University in Osaka, Japan and is on a two day visit to Jamaica.
