This is an advanced practical course that will broaden the knowledge gained in PC installation, configuration, mobile devices and networking. By completing this course, students will also be assisted in the preparation of the technical support qualifications, CompTIA A+ 220-902 exam which is a building block for other certifications such as Network+ and Security+.

Prerequisite: Computer Essentials and Troubleshooting I

Note: This course may have one or more prerequisite(s) that must be completed prior to application:
STEPS FOR APPLICATION
  1. Click on the name of the course you want to apply for, scroll down and click the Apply Online button to complete the application form. (A copy of your ID can be attached)
  2. After submitting your application, make a note of your Application ID number.
  3. Wait for the automated Preliminary Acceptance email with the next step instructions. (If you do not see the email check the Junk /Spam folder)
  4.  Proceed to make payment of the course fee shown with your selected course and the non-refundable registration fee of $2,000 JMD. (Include the Application ID number)
  5. All receipts for all payment(s) must be submitted to the following emails payments@ucc.edu.jm and sfs@ucc.edu.jm before the close of the registration period.
  6. After submitting all required documents, 4-5 business days are required to process an application and verify registration before a student's access to the first class.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
  • To register, a non-refundable fee of $2,000 JMD is required.
    • Current UCC students are exempt.
  • Registration Fee ($2,000 JMD) alone will not guarantee a space in the class beyond the close of the stated registration period.
  • The course fee and registration fee can be combined and paid at the same time. Payment options are outlined in the Preliminary Acceptance email automatically sent after an application is submitted.
  • Examination format may be face to face
  • Discounts for groups are available.
  • Schedule details are subject to change without notice.
  • On the successful completion of the Executive Certificate course, participants will be awarded a certificate in the form of a digital credential identifier.
IMPORTANT
If your course fees will be paid by an organization, complete these additional requirements below:
  1. Submit an application for the selected course(s) 
  2. Follow the instructions in the Preliminary Acceptance email sent to your inbox, and submit a payment to the UCC for the course fee or application fee amount that is not included in the sponsored portion.
  3. Notify the authorizing person to confirm your sponsorship with an email to payments@ucc.edu.jm. Confirmation should be submitted before the registration deadline and include the information below:
  • Company/ Organization Name
  • Name of Authorizing Person
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Amount of the sponsorship
  • Your Name
  • Name of the selected course(s)
