Kingston, Jamaica, January 8, 2025 – The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean's Business Development and Consulting Institute (UCC BDCI) is proud to present ‘Conversations for Greatness’, an exclusive business expo and pitch competition aimed at inspiring and empowering entrepreneurs and organizations. This annual event, scheduled for January 23, 2025, will host approximately 100 - 150 attendees for a transformative experience featuring keynote speeches, interactive workshops, a pitch competition, and networking opportunities.
The UCC Business Development and Consulting Institute is a beacon of support for entrepreneurs, helping them bring innovations to market and capitalize on business opportunities. They offer a range of services tailored to foster business growth. Under the leadership of Tennille Howell-Hussey, ‘Conversations for Greatness’ event is meticulously designed to support the entrepreneurial community, engaging participants in a robust agenda that balances learning, networking, and entertainment. The event kicked off with interactive mentor-led webinars in November 2024, followed by months of one-on-one mentorship sessions to hone participants' business models and pitching skills.
On the day of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to promote their services and products at the morning expo, gain insights from midday keynote speeches, pitch competition, and panel discussions featuring industry leaders such as Dr. Kadamawe K'nife, Lecturer with a PHd in Sustainable Development and a MSc in Economics; Michael Andre Collins, Founder/Business Owner, MA Collinscorp; Giovanni Maddix, Technical Officer, Intermediary Strengthening Development Bank of Jamaica; Wayne Beecher, Founder, AltCatalyst Venture Studio; and Adrian Dunkley, Founder, StarApple AI. The day will conclude with a networking mingle and an awards ceremony in the evening.
