Whether you have no CXC qualifications, 1–4 CSEC subjects, 5+ CSEC subjects, or years of work experience, the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean has options to help you continue your studies and move closer to your career goals.

Choose your starting point

Select the option that best matches your qualifications or experience. Each section shows the UCC pathways and programme pages to review.

Your recommended starting point is the Pre-Associate Programme. This pathway helps students build the foundation needed to progress toward Occupational Associate Degree options.

Best fit: Students who need a structured foundation before moving into an associate-level pathway.

UCC has options for students who do not yet have five CSEC subjects. Depending on your specific subjects and goals, your route can include the Pre-Associate Programme, the Diploma in Business Administration, Occupational Associate Degree options, or another appropriate pathway.

Note: Applicants with four CSEC/CXC subjects may also have additional route options pending outstanding subjects or approved replacement courses.

With five or more CSEC subjects, you can explore direct routes into UCC Associate Degree and Bachelor’s Degree programmes, depending on the subjects passed and the programme you choose.

Through UCC’s Mature Entry option, applicants who are 25 years or older with at least five years of work experience can apply for traditional Associate Degree and Bachelor’s Degree programmes without needing 4 or 5 CSEC subjects.
