Course: Healthcare Quality Management

This course will explore the factors necessary to evaluate and achieve quality management in Jamaican and international healthcare systems. Students in the course will use methodical analyses, monitoring and evaluation, and the application of quality improvement techniques. The impact on quality of regulations and credentials of these systems in local and international organisations will be assessed.

The course incorporates a theoretical methodology with emphasis on the practical application through use of presentations, team and group work, lectures and assignments given. These will all require the students to utilise various skills from the areas of management and leadership to asses and improve and propose quality initiatives.
