What is Asynchronous Learning?

Asynchronous learning means you are not required to attend live online classes at a fixed time. Course materials, learning activities and assessments are made available online for you to complete within the requirements and deadlines established for each course.

This format provides greater flexibility for students who need to balance their studies with work, family and other responsibilities.

How It Works

Undergraduate

40 Courses | 120 Credits | 6-Week Cycles

Bachelor's programmes consist of 40 three-credit courses for a total of 120 credits.

Students may take up to two courses per six-week cycle, with intake opportunities in January, March, May, July, September and November.

Graduate

14 Courses | 42 Credits | 1–4 Years

Each asynchronous MBA and MSc programme consists of 14 three-credit courses, totalling 42 credits.

Students may register for a maximum of five courses (15 credits) per semester. Course materials are accessible 24/7 during the semester for which students are registered.

The minimum programme duration is one year and the maximum programme duration is four years.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Programmes

Applicants should possess a minimum of five GCE or CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Principles of Accounts is required for applicable business programmes.

Acceptable grades include A, B or C at GCE level and Grades 1, 2 or 3 at CSEC level, subject to the University's admission requirements.

Candidates with four CSEC subjects may also apply while completing outstanding requirements or relevant UCC foundation or replacement courses.

Graduate Programmes

MBA: Applicants should hold an earned bachelor's degree from a recognised or accredited institution and meet the admission requirements established for the MBA programme.

MSc. Cyber Security & Data Privacy Protection: Applicants should hold an earned bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field from a recognised or accredited institution. Additional programme requirements may apply.
