BOOTCAMPS AND WORKSHOPS
The UCC Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre presents the Bootcamp and Workshop Programmes.
The programmes provide access to training in tech and entrepreneurship for interested persons across Jamaica in an effort to build marketable skills and create opportunities for internship and employment.
The goal is to empower new generations through cutting-edge technology and innovation curricula to ultimately promote equitable prosperity in vulnerable communities.

PROGRAMMES
Duration: 3 Weeks

Delivery Format: 100% Online
This is an idea stage startup workshop which will help any aspiring entrepreneur complete market research, product development and acquire validating sales. Participants will also learn how to acquire financing and build their teams.
The workshop is delivered in an on-demand format over three-weeks with live mentor sessions and exercises to help students build out their startup ideas.

UCC has partnered with Amazon Web Services Academy, to provide training and access to labs on the AWS platform, which will help participants acquire an AWS certification.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications are leading credentials, partly because the need for cloud professionals is so great today and these certifications provide an excellent way of validating one’s proficiency in a specific domain.
The programme is delivered in an on-demand format over three-weeks covering the following modules:

This training programme helps students acquire core knowledge and capabilities related to finance. Students will learn the basics of loans and credit services as well as startup funding including crowd investment, venture capital and private equity. It provides access to an internship and job opportunities with Abrivis Group Limited and InfoMachines Limited.
The bootcamp will be instructed by by Dr Michael Gordon Director of the UCC Innovation Center, Iisha Richards Business Development Officer and Mr. Michael Collins, Banker and Businessman.

This training programme helps students acquire core knowledge and capabilities to develop AI applications. It also provides access to AWS certification preparation and an internship programme.
Students will get exposure to Large Language Models, hands-on training to build ChatGPT and AutoGPT applications as well as to integrate ChatGPT into enterprise applications.
The bootcamp provides 3 advance credits and an internship with StarApple Analytics.
