The Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf Donation

On December 22, 2023, the campus donated to the Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf. The donation included essential items such as household toiletries, cleaning supplies, clothing, school supplies, and non-perishable food items.

 

Labour Day

On May 23, 2023, in observance of Labour Day, the campus engaged in a meaningful community project. The Coley Mountain Primary and Infant School received a fresh coat of paint, and trees were planted on the premises. This initiative showcased the campus's dedication to improving educational facilities and promoting environmental sustainability.

 

Manchester’s 5K Run/Walk/Cycle Race

On June 11, 2023, the campus enthusiastically took part in the Manchester 5K Walk Run and Cycle event, which was hosted by the Custos of Manchester. This event served as a platform for promoting physical fitness, community engagement, and a sense of unity among the participants. The campus actively participated in the event, demonstrating our commitment to supporting local initiatives and fostering a healthy and active lifestyle within the community

 

2024 Student Awards Ceremony

Every December, we proudly recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the academic year, celebrating their dedication and achievements.

 

UCC Mandeville Represents at National Drug Awareness Conference

On April 30, 2025 , administrative staff and a student representative from UCC Mandeville Campus attended a conference hosted by the National Council on Drug Abuse (NCDA), addressing the increasing drug and alcohol use in Manchester, Clarendon, and St. Elizabeth. Particular concern was raised about the rise of synthetic drugs, with discussions highlighting the urgent need for updated policies and targeted interventions to protect vulnerable youth.

 

UCC Mandeville Campus Shows Strong Spirit at Custos 5K Event
 

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, staff, students, and alumni from the campus proudly participated in the Custos Rotulorum Manchester City 5K Run/Walk/Cycle, held at Brooks Park. This community-focused event aimed to raise funds in support of the Mandeville Regional Hospital's Renal Unit and to promote the Manchester Beliefs, Values & Attitudes initiative.

Community Builder

Jovaine Grange is an exceptional individual who has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to community enrichment through various UCC outreach activities. With a deep passion for environmental sustainability, Jovaine has actively engaged in tree planting initiatives, contributing to the preservation and beautification of local green spaces at primary schools within the parish. Moreover, Jovaine has organized and participated in donation drives to support the less fortunate, ensuring that essential resources reach those in need. Through these selfless acts, Jovaine has made a positive impact on the lives of many, exemplifying the spirit of compassion and generosity. His dedication to community service serves as an inspiration to others, encouraging collective efforts towards creating a more inclusive and harmonious society.

 

Library Week Sustainability Essay Competition 2023 Winner

In commemoration of Library and Information Week, UCC celebrated the significance of Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums, and Resource Centres (GLAM/R) in fostering critical thinking. To highlight this importance, an essay competition was organized, focusing on a pertinent theme related to UCC, Jamaica, and the global community. Latoya Clemetson, a student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, emerged as the winner of the competition, showcasing her exceptional writing skills and insightful perspective.
