UCC Research Conference Features New Development for the Institution

Kingston, October 1, 2019 –The President and Executive Chancellor of the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, Professor Dennis J. Gayle, has described the just concluded Annual Academic Research Conference as a “watershed moment for UCC”. The institution welcomed the first cohort of students in the University of Sunderland’s doctoral programmes and launched its Innovation Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre along with an Academic Journal, which shares a similar name.

September 26, 2019 - The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) has established an Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre, thereby providing a space for students and innovators with entrepreneurial and new technology-driven ideas to create practical solutions that can contribute to Jamaica’s growth.

Kingston, September 18, 2019 –The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) will host its 3rd Annual Academic Research Conference at the institution’s Main Campus in Kingston on Wednesday, September 25, from 10am to 7pm, and Thursday, September 26, from 8am to 2pm.

Professor Dennis J. Gayle, President and Executive Chancellor of the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean presents the Honourable Mrs. Dorothy Pine-McLarty, Attorney-at-Law and Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica with a framed copy of her Honorary Doctorate Degree shortly after she was conferred during the University’s Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony was held on Sunday (July 21) at the National Arena.

Kingston, July 24, 2019 – The 2019 graduating class of the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean has been charged to “set goals and dream big” as they embark on the next chapter of their professional lives.

The charge was issued by the Honourable Mrs. Dorothy Pine-McLarty, OJ, Attorney -at-Law and Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica during her commencement address at the University’s Commencement Ceremony at the National Arena on Sunday.

Mrs. Pine McLarty was also conferred with a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration by the University’s President and Executive Chancellor, Professor Dennis J. Gayle.
